The blade on this dagger is Persian, Qajar dynasty. A classic Khanjar, made of fine woozt steel. Probably early to mid 19th century. The green leather scabbard too, also appears to be Persian. The handle may be Kurdish. So we are talking about a blade made in Isfahan, and probably mounted in the Kurdish region of Iraq.
I fine original example of woozt steel, and Persian craftsmanship.
I am offering this piece for sale for ?300 or best offer. Please PM me if interested.
